6th Annual: Enriching Life Botanical Art Exhibition
Heeyoung Kim & Brushwood Botanical Artists

Virtual Exhibition: January 10 - February 28, 2021

Creating fellowship, discovering peace and healing during a Pandemic, these 20 artists sustained their connections with one another and with nature’s beauty.  Though they couldn’t meet safely in person, they found laughter, strength and focus in virtual gatherings.  Working alone at home, their joy in creative energy, spiritual and artistic growth overcame isolation. These works and works in progress are witness to the restorative power of nature, art and community.

Participating Artists:

Dolly Borders · Larinda Di Gioia · Dolores Diaz · Joann Dinneen · Marcia Glenn · Edith Harte · Sandy Kessel · Heeyoung Kim · Teri Kuwahara · Meredith Lincoln · Jean Meilinger · Pamela Najarian · Ramiro Prudencio · Patricia Robillard · Rita M. Rosen · Linda Schmitt · Jane Sturgeon · Kathy Walsh · Susie Williams · Judy Woznyj
If you would like to inquire about the possibility of purchasing one of the pieces in the show, please contact us.

THE SIXTH

The wind of adversity
Has shaken the limb;
Staunch remains the root.
We won’t let the issue
Forge an issue.
We dream possibilities,
We are top soil
Nourished by grit

About the Heeyoung Kim Botanical Art Academy at Brushwood Center at Ryerson Woods

Founded by Heeyoung Kim in June, 2012, the Academy offers weekly classes in watercolor, graphite pencil, and pen-and-ink. The first "Enriching Life" exhibition opened on November 8, 2015, and has returned yearly as a way to celebrate the Academy's artists and their work over the year.  Though in person classes have temporarily stopped, the Academy is going strong with the help of its new virtual classes.
