Since early childhood I have been expressing myself artistically: doodling, creating,
drawing, photographing and painting. In my early twenties I was an art intern for National Geographic Magazine. Several years later, after moving to Chicago, I received my MFA in graphic design at the Art Institute of Chicago. Upon graduation I worked for Young and Rubicam where I was responsible for marketing, package design and corporate identity for a wide scope of clients. My love, however, has always been fine arts. It wasn’t until the youngest of my four daughters entered college that I gave serious attention to painting, at which point I returned to the Art Institute for a degree in painting. There I concentrated in oils, and have more recently turned to botanical watercolor. Every new artistic turn I have taken has been exciting and challenging. My website is dbordersart.com.
