About Nature Crafts by Eileen:
I’ve been working in the arts for over 40 years and have sold my artwork at multiple galleries, art shows, and individual shows. I opened the Rogers Park Art Gallery in May 2015 and ran it for 5 1/2 years until December 2020, when it was closed by the pandemic. I’ve worked in multiple mediums over the years, including sketching, painting, jewelry making, wreath making and many areas of crafts.
I make all my own wreaths by pulling down grapevines and then individually forming each wreath. I started making wreaths around 1980, while living in rural TN and it has turned into one of my favorite artistic pursuits. I used to go to craft stores and buy items to decorate my wreaths, but in 2010 I realized I could use all natural materials to decorate my wreaths. If you see any man-made items in my wreaths, I have acquired them at local yard sales. Nothing in my wreaths was purchased at a store. Using only natural materials has been a real challenge, but it also provided me with an opportunity to learn the names of many wildflowers and “weeds” and how to dry and use them to create beautiful and interesting wreaths. I hope you enjoy them and their unique qualities. |
