Drip & Culture
Community Focused, socially minded.
When we founded Drip & Culture, our vision was to create something special that would allow us to transform Supermercado Gonzalez. This Gonzalez location has been in Nydia's family since 1994 and needed some love. Waukegan and communities like it need businesses curious about the conditions in which its customers and residents live. Things like economic disinvestment, the quality of its schools, challenges with safety and crime, and access to healthy food options are all important to making a city a great place to live. Achieving all of these things takes work, and we hope that Drip & Culture can be where that work begins and spreads into every neighborhood in our city. We believe in our community. We serve delicious coffee. And we are a vibe. |
Growing Healthy Veterans
Engage Veterans and Active Duty Military in sustainable agricultural practices to enhance their physical and mental health and overall wellness while exposing them to multiple opportunities to connect with their communities.

Veteran Art Tribe
A tribe of artists who are also U.S. military veterans dedicated to supporting opportunities for veterans to create and interact with various art and expressive modalities. Whether our veterans are using creativity as a therapeutic focus or as a full-time occupation, Veteran Art Tribe looks to provide awareness, access, agency, and exposure within the art community.

Guitars For Veterans
800,00 U.S. Veterans struggle with physical injuries, PTSD, and other emotional distress. We believe guitars can help with the healing process. Music helps decrease anxiety, increase self-esteem, and reduce episodes of panic attacks, nightmares and flashbacks. A research study of Guitars 4 Vets students showed a 21% improvement in PTSD symptoms and a 27% decrease in related depression symptoms. The study attributed learning and playing guitar as the primary catalysts for these improvements—and we want to ensure as many vets as possible have that opportunity. More simply, playing a guitar can help veterans safely connect with their surroundings and other people. |
