Healing Winter Walk at Ryerson Woods for Veterans

Brushwood Center at Ryerson Woods
Enjoy a short healing walk through the winter wonderland of Ryerson Woods with forest bathing guide Sarah Abu-Absi. Forest bathing is a reflective walk that promotes healing and wellness through immersion in the forest. Afterwards, get warmed up by savoring a hot chocolate!
Program Details and Accessibility Information:
Location: Brushwood Center, accessible entrance from back of the building, all gendered restroom available, no water fountain, but water available upon request, places available to sit/rest
Activity Expectation: light trails, may be snow, rain, or mud, wear durable shoes, unpaved, little elevation, 1 mile may be traveled, max number of people 15, 1.5 hours is length of program, light walking, sitting, cushions available
Sensory Expectations: forest landscape, very little noise, calming area, natural area sounds
Available Accommodations: No language interpretation available. Hot chocolate and sweets served. Please let us know if gluten or nut allergy.
