About Ramiro Prudencio:

Ramiro is a physician and color pencil artist. After retiring from his professional career in the field of Urology, he studied Ikebana, the ancient Japanese art and philosophy of floral arrangements. After the death of his teacher, he taught himself painting with color pencils, and later on, received formal instruction at the Chicago Botanic Garden. Later, he was started on various media under the tutorship of Heeyoung Kim at the Brushwood Academy. His botanic artistry has continued on color pencil, mostly representing Autumn leaves and also flowers, with complementary essays. Ramiro has participated in several local exhibits and on juried international exhibitions.
