About Susie Williams:

Picture
I have always been drawn to detail and botanical art is the perfect fit, watercolor the perfect medium, and nature the fascinating arena for finding beauty, color, form and line. I majored in Art Education and went on to receive a Ph.D. in Communicate Disorders/Learning Disabilities. I have taught in public and private schools and University settings and throughout my professional career have enjoyed and used my art background.

I have exhibited my work in juried and non- juried exhibitions.  Juried examples include the Union League Club, Chicago, IL, Member Art Exhibitions, June/July, 2022, and June/July 2019, The 21 Annual Botanical Art Exhibition, Filoli, Woodside, Ca, March 2019, 2017, the RAM Wustum Museum of Fine Art, Racine, WI., Dec. 2018, the 26 Annual Midwest Seasons Exhibit, Center for Visual Arts, Wausau, WI., Sept. 2015, the Roots Exhibition, Center for the Visual Arts, Wausau, WI., Sept, 2017, and the Ornamental Exhibit, Center for the Visual Arts, Wausau, WI., Nov.-Dec., 2017.
Non-juried exhibitions include Heeyoung Kim and the Brushwood Artists, Brushwood Center exhibits, Jan. 2016-2023; North Shore Art League Member’s Show, Sept. 2020, 2022; North Shore Art League Small Works Exhibit, Dec/Feb. 2022-2023; Wilmette Public Library Art Show, Nov. – Jan. 2019, 2020, Art in the Park, Geneva Lake Foundation Exhibit, 2016 and a solo exhibit at the Brick Street Market, Delevan, July/August 2013.
