As a former wilderness guide, I have always found immense healing and strength in nature. During the years I spent backpacking, I had the honor of learning from master herbalists, indigenous healers and Southern folk medicine experts. In the woods of Missouri, mountains of North Carolina and creeks of Southern Illinois, I learned how nature can aid, accelerate and and enhance our healing.
With the hustle and bustle of everyday life, it is incredibly easy to disconnect from what feeds our soul and replenishes our spirit. Years after I moved on from my work guiding, I recognized that I, like many others, had lost sight of my authentic self. In an attempt to draw in what had once grounded me, I reconnected with what was once my passion—creativity, mindfulness and natural healing.
My goal is to not only create from moments and things I cherise, but to inspire others to slow down, get outside and reconnect.
