  • At Ease: Healing in Nature | November - December, 2022

At Ease: Healing in Nature
November 13 - December 21, 2022*
Brushwood Center at Ryerson Woods

Join this exhibition opening featuring artwork that explores themes including healing, wellness, reflections on military service, and engaging with nature and the outdoors. All work in At Ease: Healing in Nature is created by active duty service members, veterans of military service, and family members of active duty or veteran military. This exhibition will be open through December 21, 2022, in the Brushwood Center Gallery.

About At Ease:
Since 2015, we have worked with Military Veterans and their families through our At Ease program, an innovative approach to empower Military Veterans’ wellbeing through a series of nature-based art and photography workshops.

This program is offered at no charge to Military Veterans thanks to our supporters and partners. Brushwood Center collaborates with the James A. Lovell Federal Healthcare Center and local partners to connect Veterans to the arts and the opportunity to explore and restore in nature. Participants immerse themselves in the peaceful sanctuary provided by Brushwood Center at the pristine Ryerson Woods, and discover a new side of themselves and the natural world through the creative arts. For more information about the At Ease program, click here.

*Please note that only a small portion of the exhibition will be on display from November 28 - December 5 due to Brushwood Center’s annual Holiday Art Market.
