About Joan Game:
Joan creates two and three-dimensional artwork, using watercolors, acrylics, ink, wire, fabric, decorative papers, and more. She paints, forms and builds her artwork and sculptures using intuition and her formal art training. The play between the two brings about a delightful and pleasing unexpected result. Embracing self-imposed challenges, Joan experiments with new ways of using various media. She applies color to create pieces that emanate joy and movement. Joan's artwork is described as colorful, joyful, light-hearted, touching, whimsical, beautiful and humorous. She has participated in a variety of art shows and public art projects in Michigan, Colorado, and Chicago, as well as art exhibitions in the Morvan French countryside and the Netherlands. Using sewing and embroidery skills, Joan’s latest work involves designing patterns for a variety of felt objects that she sews together and embellishes with details. She embraces a variety of topics for he felt creations including vegetables, fruits, greens, woodland animals, birds, desserts, small meals, flowers, mobiles and wall hangings, all from felt and more. Joan enjoys brainstorming on creative projects, is a proud mother of two, loving grandmother of one, and a travel-loving, tea-drinking feminist with a soft spot for the Rocky Mountains and anything that contains dark chocolate. https://hanamele.com/ |
