About Sepia Rainbow
Specializing in the nearly-lost Mesoamerican art of Popotillo, an ancient straw mosaic illustration medium. Anisotropic creatures and geometric forms glisten differently depending on the viewing angle. Tiny pieces of dyed broom straw are meticulously adhered to recycled paper via a beeswax substrate, then mounted directly to exotic wood veneer before being framed or mounted to functional objects. All materials are sustainably sourced, diverted from landfill, and as local as possible.
Items from this artist will be available exclusively at the In Person Sale at Brushwood Center on May 7 & 8 where you will find an even wider selection of items for sale, giveaways and discounts as well as a full schedule of activities and events!
