About Joan Game:

Hello! I’m Joan Game and here is a little bit about my work.
Over the past four or so years, since the arrival of our granddaughter, I began making felt food for her.
I’ve always loved experimenting with a multitude of media and color, while using my formal art training along with craft skills I learned as a child, like sewing! Combining those, helps me to reconnect to my past, my long lineage of women who sewed for their families.
In hopes of bringing joy to others, I work to make my felt pieces colorful, joyful, whimsical and fun. Hand embroidered embellishments on the pieces help to highlight different aspects where it is applied.
I love the challenge of designing my own patterns for the large variety of felt items, which has included vegetables, fruits, greens, woodland animals, birds, desserts, small meals, flowers, mobiles, wall hangings, and more.
Each felt item is lovingly made. I hope you enjoy!
----
Joan has participated in a variety of art shows and public art projects in Michigan, Colorado, and Chicago, as well as art exhibitions in the Morvan French countryside and the Netherlands.
Joan enjoys brainstorming on creative projects, is a proud mother of two, loving grandmother of one, and a travel-loving, tea-drinking feminist with a soft spot for the Rocky Mountains and anything that contains dark chocolate.
