​Green Careers for Veterans in Energy and the Environment

Securing gainful employment is a key goal for veterans transitioning from military to civilian life. However, many veterans struggle to secure meaningful employment once they return home. Military veterans should have substantial support after they return to civilian life because they have higher rates of post-traumatic stress disorder and disability, which may make it more difficult to transition to civilian life.  Gaps in knowledge about the civilian employment sector can represent a significant barrier to employment.
