Woods, Waters and Wildflowers – A Climate Walk with a Scientist

See the landscape through the eyes of a scientist, leading an exploration of prairies and pollinators, rainfall and rivers, changing temperatures and towering trees, and more. |
Maximum of 20 participants, with masks and distancing. This program is part of Third Coast Disrupted: Artists + Scientists on Climate, an exhibition of science-inspired artworks at the Brushwood Center Gallery May 7 – August 22.
Aquatic scientist Philip Willink received his PhD from the University of Michigan, then worked at the Field Museum and Shedd Aquarium. He has conducted research in a dozen countries, as well as extensively throughout the Chicago region. His work has addressed endangered species, invasive species, habitat restoration, and climate change, and seeks to promote actionable conservation, management initiatives, and policy. He is a participant in Third Coast Disrupted: Artists + Scientists on Climate.
