Invasive Species in the Natural Landscape
An Exhibition by the Reed-Turner Woodland Botanical Artists
Opening Reception
Sunday, September 11, 2016

Introduced species and garden escapees have an impact on the natural landscape, affecting the survival of native plants, birds and other wildlife. This exhibition by the Reed-Turner Woodland Botanical Artists group takes a closer look at some of these invasive species, turning them into beautiful works of art while also examining the consequences of their rampant spread.

PARTICIPATING ARTISTS

Beverly Behrens · Dolores Diaz · Doris Gilbert · Sandra Kessel · Heeyoung Kim · Ku-mie Kim · Claudia Lane · Ann Lesciotto · Christina Lovering · Lyndsay Murphree · Pam Najarian · Lynne Railsback · Carol Jean Rogalski · Barbara Rose · Jane Sturgeon · Suzanne Wegener · Sue Widell

Free. No registration required. Exhibition runs September 11 - November 6, 2016. The reception will include artist demonstrations as well as a brief lecture on invasive species by the Lake County Forest Preserves' volunteer steward coordinator, Tom Smith.
