Mirja Spooner HaffnerMirja Spooner Haffner is the Director of Development of Brushwood Center at Ryerson Woods. Mirja actively increases engagement of all constituents – donors, foundation and corporate funders, volunteers, program participants and all those who want to learn more about the mission and work of Brushwood Center - connecting art, nature and wellness. Prior to joining Brushwood Center, Mirja spent her career working in the arts in New York City and was the Director of Development at the Neue Galerie New York. Additionally, she worked in development at the Art Institute of Chicago raising capital funds for the Modern Wing. Mirja is a member of the Founder’s Board at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Chicago High School for the Arts. Mirja holds a BA in American Studies from Barnard College/Columbia University. Mirja loves all things related to the arts, exploring and traveling, and supporting mental health and wellness.
