Water and Sky 1, Framed Mixed Media by Kathleen Warren
Water and Sky 1 is inspired by looking out over an expanse of water and only seeing the horizon where the water and sky meet. I added horizontal sewing lines to highlight the grey sky. For the water, blocks of blue painted fabric show the texture of choppy water waves. To create my art, I paint the fabric from deconstructed old shirts, sheets and jeans then embellish with hand and machine stitched thread. This unique artwork has been attached to a wide edge 6"x6" stretched canvas frame. Tip: This artwork can stand by itself on a shelf or be hung on the wall.
