Three Dried Hydrangeas Print by Christina Lovering
After Fall the dried heads of hydrangeas roll around my yard like sweet little tumbleweeds. I scoop them up out of the fresh snow when I need a little reminder of summer, and put them under the light on my desk and draw their natural beauty when there are no other flowers left. Though these are the dried remains, they always help satisfy my need to draw something that blooms during the long dark months of winter. This fine art print is part of a small series of original paintings inspired by the tiny but mighty things around us... specifically little leaves, seeds, pods, and insects. The original was created in watercolor and pen on cold press watercolor paper. This giclee print has been printed on Somerset Velvet paper that has a slightly textured surface like the watercolor paper. This listing is for a fine art print of my original watercolor, and ink painting over a stenciled background.
This artwork is 4"x6" and is matted with a white border, ready for an 8 x10 inch frame.
