Bird's-Eye View: The Loop Blocks of Skyscrapers, Framed Mixed Media by Kathleen Warren
Bird's-Eye View: The Loop Blocks of Skyscrapers is inspired by a drone shot hovering above the Chicago Loop with each city block outlined in bold geographic shapes of the roof tops. To create my art, I paint the fabric from deconstructed old shirts, sheets and jeans then embellish with hand and machine stitched thread. This unique artwork has been float mounted in a 8"x10" frame. Tip: This artwork is displayed with no glass in the frame. Textile Art should never be in contact with glass.
