About Christina Lovering:
Christina Lovering is a fine artist, mother, and teacher living outside of Chicago, Illinois.

Currently, I am working on watercolor paintings, ink and graphite drawings, as well as collage with botanical and natural science subject matter. Interested in stories of nature and its reaction to man-made changes in the environment, one recent series are mixed media illustrations of the interdependence of humans and the natural world.

All of my work in the past few years has grown from a love of nature and the intricacies and ingenuity of  the relationships in nature.  Whether it be plants and pollinators or monogamous birds- I love it all.  One of my goals is to show the beauty in the world that we as a society have grown detached from.  As a result, we have forgotten the interdependence that we humans must be a positive part of in order to survive.

The artwork featured in the Brushwood Art Market is either ready to hang on your wall as is, or is matted for you and ready for a frame of your choice- easy for gift giving!  All matted prints and originals will come in a protective cello sleeve.  Canvases and wood panel work is wrapped with care.
