About Anne Houde Photography
Anne Houde is a Chicago area photographer and instructor in photography at the Chicago Botanic Garden. A former professor of biology, Anne draws inspiration from centuries of work by naturalists and scientists and views the living things they describe as life-long friends. With a scientific eye and her fertile imagination, she makes images of plants that combine elegance of form with captivating detail, leading viewers to wonder at their very existence and beauty. Anne is active in a community of like-minded artist-photographers and helps newcomers advance their skills in her classes. She has participated in group shows in art centers and galleries.
