2002 Keynote Address: Dr. Lincoln Brower, world-reknown expert on Monarch butterflies
Having conducted more than 30 years of research on Monarch butterflies, Dr. Brower chronicles their marvelous migration and explores how habitat loss is threatening this species’ survival. Learn about Monarch Butterflies at a variety of nature workshops. Butterfly Gardening introduces the secrets to designing a butterfly garden in your yard. Tales of the Butterfly examines butterfly adaptations and migration through interactive discovery. Butterflies in the Classroom allows educators to spend time with a world authority on butterflies and migration. Lastly, Butterflies and Moths of Illinois, led by special guest instructor: Paul Goldstein from the Field Museum, explores just which butterflies and moths live in Illinois and what is being done to help these fragile creatures.
