Reflets Dans L'Eau II
The background image on this dual panel acrylic on bamboo paper was taken from a painting I did in 2011 called LIBERTAD which in Spanish means, “Freedom.” The front layer is a protective acrylic window and
mimics the scene in the background through a series of geometric forms. As in Reflets Dans L’Eau1, I wanted to capture the reflections of the sunrise, of the clouds and the tranquility of the waves as the tides go in and out. The Symbolist artist Odilon Redon once said that he wanted to, “place the visible at the service of the invisible.” So often, I wish I could be a reflection of that sunrise, and breath into the sound and colors that flow on that water. Dual Panel Acrylic on Bamboo Paper with Acrylic on Acrylic, 30” x 22.” Click here to inquire about purchasing this piece. |
