Bring your imagination and join us!

Meet the Instructor - Anni Schwabe

With an ‘I can make that’ attitude, Anni is self-taught in many facets of art. Among them are fiber arts, book binding, beading, painting and lots of experimenting. It is thru all that experimenting that ideas are constantly being born. Anni and her husband live in the Chicago suburbs. They have two grown children. This is Anni’s 26th year at Ryerson, volunteering with a beloved 30-year-old Red-tailed hawk, and a wee Screech owl. After hand feeding these beautiful birds, she hikes 4+ miles of wooded trail. Nature and conservation play a huge role in her daily life and is often depicted in her art.
