Halloween Costume Workshop
October 5 & 12
10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Do you have a great idea for a costume but need some help figuring out how to make it a reality? Let us help! We can guide you on how to use everyday items such as cardboard, wire, paint and fabric to create the illusion you are looking for.
Students should email us with their costume idea prior to class so we can plan ahead and recommend any extra items to bring to class. Class fee includes use of the BASE tool library & supplies, but depending on its design, your project may require a trip to the store to gather any other supplies such as large amounts of fabric. Students should also bring a set of clothing (shirt and pants – nothing too stretchy) that fit the person who will be wearing the costume to class. Unfinished projects can be left at Brushwood between classes, but if your chosen project is particularly complicated, you may choose to take it home and continue work on your own between classes. Students planning on making costumes out of fabric should have basic sewing experience (we have sewing machines for students to use).
Two Saturdays. $95/person (includes instruction and use of BASE tools, may not include extra items such as large amounts of fabric).
