About Carol Luc

Artist’s Statement:
Since the pandemic my work has been focusing on the natural world and honoring the diverse life forms within it. Few things restore my mind the way time dedicated to the outdoors can, so sitting down later to respond artistically continues to calm. My work celebrates the simple beauty of the every day and the gifts nature gently extends to those who look for it. Artist’s Biography: Carol Luc has exhibited her paintings, drawing and prints nationally. Her work is in Public Collections such as the David and Sarajean Ruttenberg collection, Northern Illinois University, Wayne State University, Harper College, and the Illinois Institute of Art—Chicago, and has also been published in Art Scene Chicago 2000, Northern Now, the Chicago Tribune and Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet, among others. She has an MFA in painting from Northern Illinois University. |
